Dynasty ..

Glam, glitz, family feud, drama, hunger for power et al, this one surely keeps you glued to your seats. There is too much happening in a single episode that it becomes difficult to stop

the binge watch sometimes. Amidst the drama which happens to be the main theme for the show, one also tends to witness the speckles of humour here and there. The Carrington’s and the Colby’s are two powerful and rich family dynasties with lots of rivalries, family connections and friendships amongst them. Each character is portrayed beautifully and the star cast is par excellence. The fashion depicted justifies the enigma of any powerful and rich dynasty. The relationship between the Carrington father, namely Blake ( played by Grant Show) and his children namely Fallon ( played by Elizabeth Gillies), Steve ( played by James Mackay) and Adam ( played by Sam Underwood) stays full of twists and turns right from the very beginning till the very end. Little did we know that Dynasty is an American prime time television soap opera reboot based on the 1980’s series of the same name and is developed by Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage and Sallie Patrick. Issues like LGBTQ and feminism are dealt with utmost care. Fallon happens to be the limelight for the show with her sassy, bitchy, fashion laden self. Perfect drama series. What makes it even more special is the fact that despite all the tension and chaos, the main approach of the series is very light and easy and is dealt with a pinch of humour and spice. Thereby, it does not weigh down the audience, rather keeps them asking for more. So even after 3 seasons and a total of 64 episodes, the audience eagerly awaits the next season for more of what it has to offer.
