Exactly, that would be on your mind as you watch the Netflix series - DEAD TO ME. A dark comedy starting with the friendship between two grieving ladies. I could see me and my best friend in the characters of Jen (played by Christina Applegate) and Judy (played by Linda Cardellini). For you cannot just afford to live without your best buddy - no matter how she screws up your life.
My connect with the show was so immense that I binge watched the two seasons in a matter of days. Very strong female characters are seen in the series in the form of Jen, Judy and Detective Ana Perez (played by Diana Maria Riva). However, each of these very strong characters succumb to the pressures and turmoils of life and are supported by each other beautifully. James Marsden (good looks, good looks and more good looks) is seen in a double role enacting the two twin brothers - One, a cunning entrepreneur (Steve Wood) and the other, an innocent chiropractor.
What's more, by the end of the second season things are so messed up and intriguing that you will find it difficult waiting for season 3 to release (which by the way is official now) ...!!
